I am ready to do this retrofit but need to be 100% sure I am buying the right hardware.
I have a concert Radio with NO Nav.
I assume I need the bluetooth module with antenna, mic and a wiring loom.
I have Vagcom so can code it myself.
If I buy one from Ebay will it have component protection and I need to visit Audi to remove it? If so how much does it cost.

Below are link to what I believe I need hardware wise.
Can someone confirm if this is correct.
Also I want it to work with an iPhone 5s so will the "D" revision support this.
I want the OEM so i can use the voice dial button on the steering wheel rather than scrolling through the menu etc.

    Thanks

No component protection on BT modules so you're fine there.

That module is from 2010, iPhones were out since then so I'd be pretty sure it'll be compatible.

The mic you need is 8L1862373A.

Wiring loom is correct so you're good to go.

Thanks Chris, I will get it ordered then have a stab at fitting it myself. Do you know where the BT module sits within the car?

OEM position would be below the carpet below the front passenger seat but if you're wanting to put it there then you'll need this longer loom - Audi Bluetooth Plug&Play Wiring + SDS - 220cm

You should be fit to install it behind the glovebox somewhere. You'll need this link A4 B8 Stereo Removal to remove the headunit.

Would this complete solution be ok. Works out about £300 delivered but looks like a brand new kit with loom and mic.

Yeah suppose it would be, just your decision whether you want the longer loom or not.

Thanks Chris, you are a mind of information.
I would be happy to keep the module behind the glove box. My only question is If the one in my last link from Carsystems is a genuine Audi Oem or a copy of it.
    Decisions, decisions.

Fiscons are small black boxes so no need to worry there.

    You're welcome!
