    Hi there,

I own an A4 Tdi SE 2010 and just last weekend reversed into lamp post. (don't ask)

As a result the rear bumper simply needs the attention of a scratch repair specialist - there is NO issues with alignment etc.

Howerver, this last week I have noticed that the front sensors mostly do not automatically activate when parking BUT when I simply touch reverse they come to life as normal. Please note that the rear parking sensors are working perfectly too.

Anyone out there have any such problems or behavior?

I am hoping that it may simply require a reset or something along those lines...

Any advice is more than welcome

    thanks in advance

i was worried about mine too until i read something about them switching off at a certain speed so as not to keep going off when youre driving. when you put the car into reverse it resets this hence the sound.

Mine act the same as yours. I believe this is normal as both our cars do the same. The front and back are both active on start up or in reverse but not if you are pulling in after driving.

Agreed - when parking nose-in after a drive the front sensors are not automatically activated, you have to press the button.
