when I have turned off ignistion I expect when I open the drivers door that he radio goes off and MMI screen folds away.

A couple of times I notice the screen does not fold away, I can operate it manually and turning radio on and off it opens and closes - but now it seems to have go itself lest as it does not fold away with ignition off and if I close it then it doesnt open when I start with radio on.

any ideas ? fixes ? software updates ?

Welcome to the club. An all not too infrequent problem. Many have reported, Audi reckon there's a software fix for it but I'm not aware of anyone who's had the issue successfully get it fixed. I've just got used to it now.

Thank you, quite disappointing really... I had a 2013 2.0 S line and that worked perfectly ok all the time I had it

I will speak to local dealer today.

Are you talking about the fix that was mentioned to my missus? That's for the problem that's existed since the initial C7 offering of screen coming out slowly, what you lot seem to be having on your "newer" versions is a different problem. Or am I missing something?

Perhaps they over-fixed the initial problem

I have noted it closes on a) ignition off or b) drivers door open. I never pay attention to other contributing factors, like perhaps a only happens when no other doors are open first, or b) started occuring after I turned on the radio back on moments after the ignition switch had closed it. My other consideration, does it behave based on last use of the particular key being used?

Once and only once, the next day when I opened the car door the radio turned on, I did not take note of the screens status. Now I liked this, and if I could code via VCDS (and a set on volume) I would.
