    Help Please!!!!!!!!

    I own a Audi A4 19.TDi (2003)

I have noticed a few times when I am going uphill in 3rd gear the car, the car looses power and I have to go down into 2nd gear and even in 2nd gear it barely reaches 20mph!!! This is not always the case at the moment and it happens sporadically.

I have been reading a few threads and the MAF has been mentioned on a few occasions but not relating to the model of my car.

    Thanks in advance!!

If it happens, does it help to turn the car of and on again? Does it work again?
I skrewed my MAF by cleaning it (and it wasn't nec.) In my case its the turbo (sticky vanes) Do you have more symtoms, like it work for first few minutes and then stop? I've compiled a list of info from various posts.

It can be the following, MAF, Cracked vacuum pipes, Faulty N75 Valvue Turbo Fault (Mechanical)

Dont know if the turning the engine on/off as I have not tried this as it has been on uphill roads and traffic behind me!! Also the revs just drop and the rev counter is stuck to about 2/2 and half!! When I reach flat roads it goes back to normal!! Thanks!!

    Hi Guys

I got my car serviced today and I got a diagnostic done on it and it did not bring up any codes?

The guy at the garage said it may be the MAF as previously you guys have said, so what is the chances of it being this? As I dont want to get my hands dirty and at the end not getting somewhere!

    Thanx in advance!

When it does it, does it smoke alot out of the exhaust?

Faulty MAF can produce black smoke.

Try unplugging the MAF if it works fine then it may not be the MAF. If it improves then its the MAF.

I'd go with as suggested, the turbo actuator solenoid. The MAF tends not to give big power drops where as the turbo will make it feel like your only pressing the throttle a tiny bit.
