    Hi.
Had a new clutch fitted today which I am well happy with, however there is more.
Got about a mile up the road and stopped at the traffic lights and noticed some serious rev needle bounce. Turned the car around and headed back to the mechanic, and on arriving at the mechanic, noticed that the temperature needle was sitting at about 100 degrees. I have had the car for 7 years and it has never went above 90 degrees. Got to the mechanic and told him about the rev needle bounce. Let her sit running for a bit and the engine management light came on which was diagnosed as the EGR. This was reset and the car was restarted, but after a while, the rev needle started bouncing again and shortly after the engine light came back on. They had a good look around and thought it may be a nipped cable from the clutch fitting, so the battery and other various parts of the car were stripped, inspected and re assembled. The car was then re started but the rev needle bounce was still there.
The mechanic then thought about plugging her into the main computer diagnostics and done what I think is resetting to basic values, after which, all the problems were sorted, rev needle bounce and temperature. Very coincedental for this to happen and just my luck but glad to get it sorted. No problems since.
Thought I would post my experience incase it may be useful to somone.
One thing I will add is that she seems to get up to temperature quicker than usual ( 90 Degrees ) !

    Marko.

    Hi
Rev needle bounce is back ! Not as severe as it was on thursday though.
Thinking back on thursday, i'm not sure if the rev needle bounce bought on the engine light re EGR or if the EGR caused the needle bounce.
Everything else is fine, no warning lights or any other problems.
What do I do now ?

    Thanks.

    Marko
