Wondering when we might see a major update to the A5? Is it fairly predictable when facelifts and major revamps are done?

Facelifts every 4 years or so. Facelift has just been released so expect the new model in another 4/5yrs.

Yes, sorry. Was thinking about another model, 2 years ago.

No information has been released yet.

Wife has the current A5 model, was one of the first in the UK and it's was registered on the first day the 12 plates were released. It still looks modern and fresh so doubt it's due a change

Hope it's not too cheeky to ask, but what are your wife's toys like? ;-)

Tossing up between A6 and A5 on the A6 forum https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...or-A6&p=900728 any extra thoughts from the A5 afficiandos most welcome.

I think I will get told off if I talk about her 'toys'! But her car toys are, bang and olufsen sound system, tech pack high, adaptive cruise, adaptive xenons, rear view camera, metallic black paint, AMI plus some others I can't remember at the moment.

Think I'll go for the B&O if I spring for one of these.

It's not actually (in our opinion) any better at all than the standard system. We love our music and films and have bose systems in most rooms at home so thought we would go all out and go for B&O in the A5 but it's really isn't special. It's only £600 in the A5 where as it's many thousands in the other models and I think it's missing something as it's just isn't great. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it's just not audibly different from the standard system in my A7.

Personally I would get the adaptive cruise and rear camera over any other option.
