I used auto glym convertible roof cleaner and water proofer on my A4 Quattro with good results the water is still beading like a good un unfortunately there are a few moss marks on the roof and I a thinking of using some renovo soft top reviver to bring back the dark black colour to the roof, has anyone used this? and also would a litre be enough to cover the roof?

    Thanks

those moss marks are a bugger - I have used standard car shampoo and a soft nail brush this year and got some good results.... still needs another go to get it all off again..

Let me know how the renovo stuff goes

Sooooo I got fed up this year and the green stains seemed to be more stubborn than ever

In a moment of "shall I or shan't i?" I decided screw it and got the jet wash out

High pressure lance about an inch away from the roof in back and forth strokes and it is now totally clean and all traces of mould and moss stains gone

Quick dose of Milton to sterilise and a generous application of roof seal from AG

Looks amazing and no damage done at all - everyone says not to use a jet wash on the roof but mine was fine

Only suggestions is that if you do go down this path do it on a really hot day so it dries quickly

I did wonder about using a jet wash but was warned against it, I didn't know if it could damage the roof?

    hi
i have used auto glym and renovo roof cleaner / protector. i preferred the renovo 3 part kit although its a bit trickier to apply.
the method i have used for a few years now is johnsons baby blue bath as the cleaner, milton sterilsing fluid to get rid of any algae marks and finally when its cleaned and dried fabsil tent protector which acts as the waterproof protectant. the fabsil works really well and is easy to apply
