Scrap price Audi A3

Hi, does anyone know what price I would get for scrap for a 1998 Audi A3 1.8 Turbo (no gearbox no wheels seized engine)

Couldn't tell you todays price, but a friend of mine scrapped his Astra saloon a few months ago and got £95 for it complete. The scrap yard charged £5 for each tyre though

Thanks, it doesn't seem a lot maybe I will strip it and sell the parts on e-bay and just scrap the shell

When I was selling my wife's A3, I phoned my local scrap yard who said they'd give me about £130 for it.

I put it on ebay as "spares or repair" (needed a new clutch) and sold it for £250.

Stripping it should get you more money, so long as you've got a place to do it and space to store it all while you sell it.

Thanks I'm going to strip it and keep some of the bits and sell the rest on its a shame really as the shell is solid but the spares will come in handy for my other A3 and make another space on the drive
