I have the lighting pack - should interior be LEDs? Also, do I have a fault - parking light?

Hi All,

Just a quick one, well two things that are puzzling me with my new car.

1st, I have the lighting pack, should I have LEDs in the front and rear roof lights, LEDs for the vanity mirrors above the sun shield and LEDs in the boot lighting?
2nd, I have the All LED headlights, I parked up earlier behind another car near a bend, normally I would pop the parking light on for others to see as they come around the bend, but nothing happened, no lights, zip, naff all, front or back, left or right nothing!

Anyone else with a new A6 BE Avant with the lighting pack fancy a quick pop out in the dark and having a looksy?

Hi Sam,

I don't have the LED headlights but do have the lighting pack. The main interior lights are not LED but all the peripheral ones are. Slightly odd if you ask me but my guess is that the lighting pack is probably only the peripheral stuff anyway. Assume they just don't bother switching the standard interior lights to LED's.

Would be nice to know how simple it would be to swop them for LED's though. Assume it's probably been discussed already though so will do some searching on the forum!

cheers mate, appreciate the response.

Im sure A6_Chris has swapped out the interior lights with LEDs, I think I read it earlier this eve while looking for an answer.

If they are standard, I will be looking to swap them out too, I prefer the white light to yellow.
I'll give Chris a shout as I think he has a contact he bought from in the past.

Ok, I remembered something vaguely mentioned about them having to be on Auto for something or other to happen - was hoping it would fix your situation, soz.

Actually, it could have been World peace or could have been parking lights, I forget. Am guessing it was World peace then. Yay World peace!
