    I have a highline (130) on a 54 plate.
at 26k the car had a vibration and the DMF was replaced under warranty.
At 41k I had a judder occasionally in 1st/reverse when cold.
VW informed me that the clutch was shot, and had also caused damage to the DMF fitted only 15k previously.
They wanted to give me a bill for £1,200 to replace both, but I managed to reduce this to £340 after threatening them with court.
After all these problems, I still believe there is a judder in 1st when the clutch gets hot, in slow traffic.
Warranty is up next month and I am planning to take it to another dealer for their opinion.
Am I the only one out there who has had this many problems?

    Yes, similar here.
Minor judder on the clutch, noticed mainly when cold. 54 plate 130bhp sport. I intend to raise with dealer as I don't want to be left holding the baby! Car three this month so will get a response soon. I asumed clutch but could be flywheel also. Hope the dealer can feel the problem or I may have difficulty.

    Gully,

I have the same car as you. I had issues with notchy gears. I have had the DMF and clutch changed under warranty. On questioning the garage about the clutch change. I was advised that as they had everything out they change the clutch as more than likely the clutch will fail prematurely due to the DMF failure and my car has only done 26000 miles.

I would be back at the dealer and demand they change the clutch under warranty. As the clutch has failed due to the DMF failing. As far as I am concerned they should have changed the clutch when they had everything else out. This is what gives VW bad name bad dealers.
