  1. Advice regarding AC N280 Valve, no cold air

    Hi,

    I've got a 2.0TFSI 2007 A4 with a Denso AC compressor.

AC stopped blowing cold air, had the system recharged 2 years ago so I ran a VCDS check and it came back with compressor regulator valve (N280) intermittent fault. ECON light goes off when pressed and AC pressure looks ok/within spec.

    1. Can the N280 valve be replaced without replacing the whole compressor, Audi said no and whole compressor needs replaced at £650 excl VAT for compressor, needless to say I'm looking for alternatives.
    2. Spoke with Aircon refurbishment guy who said that even changing the valve theres a strong chance of pulley will have sheered the aircon shaft and new compressor is needed and there is no way of checking. Does this sound right?

would appreciate any help people can provide to this.

    Thanks

problem resolved, turns out wiring connector was disconnected from valve, unsure if they do this during a service at Audi, don't think so some how and unsure in how it unclipped itself and worked its way loose. But happy none the less :-)
