    Hi All,

    My A6C6 has 72000 on the clock, serviced on the dot, recently noticed a misfire at startup, very short, but tacho needle was jumping.

    Drove on to the motorway and home 35 miles no problem no misfire, same again the next day.

    Had it scanned, fault code for no 6 glow plug, so that would explain running lumpy at startup, but I also had it once on the motorway.

    Decided it might be crappy fuel, but today no misfire or lumpy running glow plugs on order, thought about some injector cleaner, but Audi don't recommend it.

    Ideas anyone?

    When was the fuel filter last done?

    Bad diesel and a clogged filter will upset things.

    fuel filter done ar last service, suspect a tank of contaminated diesel as I don't get the misfire all the time

    Glow plugs renewed tomorrow

    Did you see them change it/did they give you the old one back, or is it just on the invoice?
