    is it possible to get a pipe down a 2001 passats fuel tank so I can drain it ???
    im selling the car and put £ 50 of derv in , id like to put in my new car .

    ill answer this one, yes you can get a pipe down m8 . only a narrow pipe will fit and return flow into a container etc is very slow , it took a good 30 mins to get 35 litres from my tank . but well worth the time .

    Disconnect the fuel line at the filter and turn the key (not against the stop, no need to run the engine) the fuel pump will
    pump the fuel out for you.

    the pump will run for 1 second and pump an egg cup full out until you turn the ign off and back on again. you can bypass the fuel pump relay so it runs continuously but thats a faff. i just disconnect a pipe from the fuel filter and suck it out using my oil extractor.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...
