Hello guys. Last year I made a bit of a project of getting more power from 2.5 tdi AFB engine (thanks to Chris on here for advice). Have since scrapped the car and wondering if anyone is interested in the bits. This is a diy project kit - don't expect a polished bolt together package. Priced accordingly.

I have garrett 2259 turbo from vauxhall or saab 3.0. Brought 2nd hand and rebuilt with receipts last year. Bolts straight on in place of original and includes custom downpipe to join to exhaust. Compressor outlet is at a slightly different angle to original so you will need to remove heat shielding and make your own silicone hosing to join to original pipework. Includes braided stainless oil inlet hose to connect to original oil pipe. Oil drain is altered to point in correct direction but need a piece of silicone hose to direct it into the oil return hole.
6 X bosio race 683 injector nozzles fitted to standard injectors and tuned to the right opening pressure (can't remember what that was off top of my head).
Factory ecu remapped by darkside for this setup @ 2 bar boost. They can't dyno quattro and don't like to estimate power output but it runs all the way to the limiter in 6th which is over 150mph and I have video proof. It will smoke heavily when you put your foot down and also the turbo slow to respond due to its size but when it kicks in it really moves. Also the large injectors make for agricultural idle. Still gives reasonable mpg when cruising. Had all this on an a6 with AFB engine.
Cost for me was used turbo £200 + rebuild £350. Injector nozzles £500 + £150(I think) setup. Remapping £600.
I want £400 for it all. Would prefer to sell it together. Cheap project for someone.

Doesn't sound good! Hope you walked away from it ok. I'll get back to you if no one wants the whole lot.
I've gone with the petrol S6 now and thank god I get cheap fuel in Germany! It has a horrible tiptronic box so I'm hoping to put the manual out of the TDI in there. Not sure if I can be bothered pulling another quattro gearbox in the driveway though...

Yeah, i know exactly what you mean ! How do you compare the s6 to the tdi ? I also have a v8 s4 and the diesel was 90% there power wise and 3 times more economical ! Dare i say it felt better to drive than the s4 on a day to day basis !

Tom, the turbo is set-up for 150Bhp engines, the exhaust is a little different as there's a cast iron link between the turbo and downpipe (no precat !) + the map is for the older MSA15 ECU, the turbo is very big (it's laggy to spool but has decent top end once it's spooling) and it's no mach to any of my hybrids in term of spool and boost delivery. The nozzles are good to get (+80% more fuel delivery) however the Allroad have 3 plunger pumps which means they do inject a lot more fuel than any 2 plunger pumps anyway. That makes for a uneven idle and raising pop pressures lowers torque across the rev range... I am having a hard time getting my allroad to idle right from cold and keep smoke down and i have a turbo capable to deliver 3 Bar of boost ! I am not slating Luke's bits, just being frank- i would have bought it in a blink of the eye if they were any good to me as a kit !
