    Hello Chaps,
I recently had reason to repair a number of faults on my 2005 2.7 TDI Quattro Avant with 185,000 miles on the clock.
I bought a pair of swirl flap units from Stan at Airshox, (sales@airshox.eu) which were €100 each. Arrived promptly and are perfect. I'd recommend them. Anyway, my local Audi trained indy installed them, as well as the link arms etc. and also the EGR valve. (trying to get rid of slightly whitish / grey smoke at idle.) The scans showed up a number of faults, 2 turbo, and a lot of Throttle Valve faults and only 2 glow plugs left working... Sorry, can't copy printout. My local Dealer is quoting €430 for a new valve, (ouch) when apparently it is only the nylon gears which are worn. Does anyone know if these gears can be purchased anywhere?

On another topic, had the condensation in my left rear lens, giving intermittent bulb faults, and did the drill a few holes trick, only 3 actually, hey presto, condensation gone the following day, although its been really wet.

    Cheers
    Fergus

Not going to pretend to know engine parts but if its the same as a throttle body, I changed mine a few months back
    http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Au...e269a4e&000329

Paid under 250 at the time I think but there were a whole load of promotions going on at the time.
£435 was what Audi quoted me too for parts only

    Hello Chaps,

Finally got a cable. Spat out the following.

Can anyone tell me what the probable diagnosis is? Am going into limp mode intermittently (once or twice a week) and the engine symbol is lit up. I have replaced the 2 swirl flap assemblies (from Airshox) and the linkages.

Is there an easy way to find the fault codes? It seems I would have to trawl through all of the Ross Tech code no's to find ones related to mine.

    Cheers

    Fergus

    Thanks Chris,

Yes, the above is the second scan. The engine symbol went off, but came on again this morning immediately when I started it.
