Hi did you get this sorted - I have exactly the same fault codes on the same engine. I was going to replace the camshaft position sensor but couldn't see how this would effect the ABS ecu fault?

    Thanks

The engine and ABS ECU';s talk to each other as part of the Electronic Performance Control system and an engine power delivery problem can generate ABS codes like that. However, the G40 sensor is not normally the problem, on this engine it is often a sign there are problems in the cam chain system.

Unfortunately when looking at the vehicle we were not given the full story. The car had already been many places including main dealer for the fault so we walked away from it.

From memory the scans kept throwing up random codes so in the end we suspect wiring/ecu fault but suggesting taking the vehicle to an auto electrician.

Hi did you solve this problem - I have the same issue. I've done the timing but was thinking about the ECU next?

I have a bit of a rule on ECU's, "it's never the ECU......except when it is...."
