Sorry if I've duplicated another post, but looking at Fourtitude today and there are pictures of an A6 Allroad with the new 'facelift' . It's difficult to tell, but the lights are essentially the same shape with differing DRL s resembling the new A3. I wonder what else has changed and as to when it will take effect. Later/ Next year I.e. MY 2015/ 2016?

Oh this isn't good. I've just allowed myself to be convinced by my dealer that's now a good time to change 2 years into a 3 year PCP for a new Ultra keeping payments the same. It now looks as though my latest model will be obsolete by October and if I'd gone full term I would have been chopping for a face lifted car next year.

There never seems to be the right time to buy a car.

Whilst I'm very happy with mine I'd rather have had an S-tronic than a Multitronic.

Never mind, when the facelift model comes out I'll have a look at a 3.0 litre if they still do one!

I reckon the best time is early in the run of a new model, that way you avoid the facelift issue and usually do well at trade in time if it's proved a popular model. Worked for us with the Yeti we had before the Allroad. And seeing as the A6 facelift looks relatively minor, I'm hoping we'll do ok with this one when we come to change (fingers crossed!!).

True, that's what I did with my Passat but with the A6 the S-tronic wasn't available when launched, it has only been introduced towards the end of the models life.

Crossing threads this is probably not a bad time to change, facelift apart and that may be over a year off. My current car tells me that Audi will be making a service smash and grab shortly and the front tyres don't have long left in this world and I'll avoid a £105 road tax bill as we'll in a couple of months so I shouldn't complain
