Please, i could use some help / advise i have with a can bus issue!
    Car is B5.5 03 plate. 130PD. AWX.
VCDS tells me that the can bus is operating on single wire.
Can anyone tell me what the can bus is connected to?
I know it goes to the CCM, and doors and cluster but what else? Can gateway shows no fault.
My CCM is dry as is the wiring. I had some issues with a couple of lightly corroded pins in one of the multi plugs in the N.S kickwell but no other faults that im aware of and everything in the car works as it should.
The only other issue im having is a fault related to the climatronic, VCDS shows a 0038 or 21A referance voltage to low, im looking into this aswel.
Rest of the car is faultless and it would be nice to sort out these 2 little niggles.

It is what it says. You have a disconnected CAN wire. Probably at or near the ccm. B5 passat has very little CAN wiring. I would search for dirty connections. They must be perfect for CAN to work properly. The fault may relate to the climatronic fault.

Well I seem to have sorted my CAN bus wire issue, VCDS says no fault found now and it wont come back!

But does anyone know why I can only un lock my tailgate using the tailgate unlock button on the remote now?
It used to unlock when the doors unlocked with one press.
The unlock button for the tailgate on the drivers door dosn't seem to do anything now either.
Seems to have been like this ever since I removed my CCM a couple of weeks ago.
    VCDS shows no faults!

It may well be a bad connection at or near the ccm. Isn't this fun

Its no big deal I suppose but I like things to work properly no matter how trivial.
Think Il be waiting unti it warms up abit though. Thanks again Martin

    Sorted my tailgate locking issue!
Turned out to be the key lock on the tailgate itself was in the wrong position, I didn't know about that little "trick".
It was altered from the normal position by me whilst sorting the dead motor issue I had about 3 weeks ago.
I also changed the selective unlocking with VCDS whilst I was at it so everything Is now normal again. One press and the whole car unlocks!
The only small issue I have now is the low voltage to my Climatronic making the display flash. Easily sorted I reckon in a couple of hours.
