hi could someone tell me if my 2.0 s.line le mans mirrors should dip to aid reversing
or was this a factory option the car is a 2010 model. Also does anyone have the same
problem as me with the rear led light lens filling with condensation thanks.

Do you have electric memory front seats. If not then no dipping mirrors. Rear lights know problem go to a dealer and get them changed under warrantee. Regards Peter

If your car is a facelift model you can enable the mirror dip with vcds without having the memory seats

Condensation was a big problem on the pre-facelift and should've got sorted for the facelift - talk to your dealer, they may replace the cluster under warranty as per the prefacelift

I'm pretty sure you can - AFAIK Mark had this on his old facelift.

    And I enabled it on a 2010 A8, 2010 A4, 2011 Q5, 2011 A5 and 2011 A4 all without memory electric seats

Using VCDS/VAGcom, if long coding helper appear in VCDS whilst changing coding for "52: Door Elect, Pass." - it will work on older car if module 52 been replaced...

Not my work taken from post on another forum

"module 52 Door Elect, Pass. Long Coding, Byte 4. If the byte has value 40 (cars without electrically folding mirrors), change it to 4C. If the byte has value 50 (cars with folding or folding/dimming mirrors), change it to 5C.

Afterwards when reversing and the mirror knob is in passenger position the passenger side mirror will tilt while on reverse to better show the curb. Without memory seats it is currently not known if the tilt can be adjusted, it seems to default to a standard amount according to reports"

Unfortunately my module two old too code no helper

Hmmmm. I never enabled passenger mirror dip on my C6. I am not sure now, but I don't think Long Coding Helper was available for the Passenger Door module.

On the facelift models, rear light condensation shouldn't be an issue. Mine misted up slightly on odd occasions, but then cleared pretty quickly, and no droplets were ever visible inside. If yours are bad, get a dealer to take a look - hopefully they will replace them.

First I'd heard about the mirror dip in this thread, so it was a surprise - but hey ho! My wife's BMW 1 series does it and I would love it on my A6 (my spacial awarenesss is not the best in the world lol). My rear lights mist up now and again on a facelift (on the reversing pane only), but nothing like as bad on a pre-facelift I used to have. Like Mark I notice it from time to time, but only after a good clean with a PW and goes pretty quickly.
