So having just purchased the car this is the first problem I have encountered. I hope someone knows what the problem is. Didn't have this issue this morning. The light won't go out and when I hit the check button all these faults show. If anybody knows why this has happened or how to fix it please let me know.

    Thanks in advance

As Zol says, scan needed with the EML on, time to get VCDS.

When you press the CHECK button it's checking the systems it's showing on screen, if there is a problem with any of those systems they will alert you automatically, you never need to touch the CHECK button.

Ok, so I shouldn't be overly worried? I was thinking I've got 14 faults

No, you're panicking for no reason.

Only fault is the engine light, get it scanned.

    RTM!!
