    Hi All,
My first post here but thought I'd share my info. I was experiencing high revs during gear changes and, having done a search here, thought maybe it was the clutch pedal switch but the symptoms were not exactly the same.
My cruise control worked fine and my problem only became evident after driving for about an hour. It may be that it was cabin temperature related. Anyway, I managed to get it to the dealer while it was happening. The technician verified the symptoms and a new throttle pedal was installed. I could see during the test drive that the pedal was slow to return to normal position when the tech's foot was lifted off the pedal.
Have driven it for a week now (several 3 hour journeys) without any problem. I did not see this particular problem on the forum so thought I'd share.

Yes, scary indeed. I was imagining it sticking down permanently. I only have the car a few months (A6 C6 2010 S-Line) so it was repaired under the used car warranty.
