Hi all, Having a problem with the heater in my 2006 Passat Estate. For some reason it's suddenly decided that it only wants to blow cold out of the passenger side ducts. The driver's side works as normal, hot, cold whatever, but I can only get cold out of the passenger side. Any ideas of where to start looking please. Thanks.

One or more of your flaps or flap motors are either stuck or not working. Is yours Climatic or Climatronic (two windows with Dual Zone option)?
If Climatronic have here diagnostics and other self-test stuff listed in a .doc I've collected over time.
PM me an e-mail address as can't attach in forum

Also check there's no gunk, dead leaves, expired rodent stuck behind cabin filter located behind pax side drop down pocket
    Any dampness there?

    Hi,
It is the Climatronic (dual zone) unit. There isn't any gunk behind the pollen filter or dampness. Its been working fine until now so I think if possible I would like the diagnostic doc off you. I will pm seperately with a contact e-mail.
    Many thanks.

It is best to get it fault code read and output tests carried out that way to show what is wrong but the usual problem is the temperature control flap.
