i took delivery of my new Audi a6 avant 3.0tdi quattro le mans on tuesday

the advert on autotrader is below

is it me or does this ad make you believe the car has bluetooth? i have spoke with the dealer and he said that sometimes autotrader ads are pre loaded, i dont believe the wording on this ad was pre loaded by autotrader and i believe he has added the text

i have looked and looked through the menu and cant seem to find a way to connect my phone

i have however been able to find bluetooth settings which is in telephone settings? the dealer has said that this coould be bluetooth in the car

when i press the phone button on the car it shows up a message on the dash that says the phone is not connected or attached correctly

there is also a spoken command listed in the directory, i pressume this was one of the last owners contacts?

i have the mmi booklet but have so far been unable to to establish if i have it or not, although i must say i kind of think i dont

does anyone know where i stand in terms of the dealer and a mis leading ad

What year is the car? I find it very hard to believe it wouldn't have bluetooth, especially if you've found bluetooth settings. Have you made sure BT is turned on on your phone? And is discoverable?

sorry it a 2007

phone bluetooth was on but maybe not discoverable, i still didnt find anywhere to connect a device or scan for a device on car menu?

Can you remember if you pressed TEL what did it say? You might have metal contacts in the armrest also.

BT was optional on all prefacelift models.

oh sorry forgot to mention i do have metal contacts in the armrest

when i press the TEL button it displays

your phone may not be connected or attached properly

any ideas
