Hi folks need help with the DPF sensor adaptation for my VW golf MK 6 . I have already dished out a lot for the diagnostics and repairs as I had the dreaded engine management light coming up frequently.

Garage thinks its a faulty DPF sensor which I have purchased but they want 50 quid to fit ?? Strange for a 15 mins job ( Even i dont get that!)

PM me or reply to this post if you are able to help . Can drive as far as kent if required.

    Thanks in advance chaps

That's very reasonable for what is a half hour job for fitting and setting up at London rates.

Just be thankful you don't own a 4.2 Q7 TDI, I have got to fit two new DPF pressure sensors to one next week, about the same price each as yours for the part but to change them you have to drop the engine and gearbox down......

ALL modern cars, especially ones fitted with Herr Diesels awful invention, are a maintenance problem and this is set to get MUCH MUCH worse in the next few years. EU5 may be a pain but God help all oil burner owners when EU 6.2 is rolled out....
