Having remapped my previous two cars (2.0 turbo Astra and 2.0 tdi A4) I have been tempted to map my A6.

    I have a 2010 A6 2.7 tdi V6 Le Mans edition. Multitronic I think.

Just wanting to hear from anyone on here that has one of these cars and remapped it?

    Is it worth it?

Yes, 55 plate 2.7 S line manual. Went through blue fin. Much better pickup low down, definitely more spritely, not much change to mpg unless you enjoy the loud pedal too much. Much nicer car to drive post change. Recommended.

Not a 2.7 but a 3.0 quattro tiptronic (all auto quattro's are tip boxes) and now drives like it used to in 'S'

Economy up by about 5mpg on long m'way runs.

Alientech eco remap which gives a max of 12% bhp/torque gains
    XK8 96 Dyno'd at 305 and LPG converted, a mere 65ppl
    A6 07 3.0 quattro tip SE Limo, black,black leather/tints /black alloys/towbar/Alientech Eco Remap/quads/Rear DVD screens/Pogo Alert+

    Hi Mark

Do you find the remap makes much difference to just general town driving ? I.E when not booting it ? Does it feel any better to drive ?

Well I get circa 30MPG dropping kids to school and that's less than a 1.5 mile round trip...although am very light footed

Hard to really tell as had my transmission fluid & filter done soon after....am thinking with a manual in town you'd only be in 2nd or max 3rd?

I guess the engine is just saying "BORING...(YAWN) GIVE IT SOME WELLY"

Yep was on I think 86k miles when I did it and 'thunked' a little when moving between reverse and drive and also when changing down from 3rd to 2nd, after the service that dissapeared.

Bristol transmissions was £276 inc VAT using their aftermarket (Ravenol?) fluid

Thanks for the info mate. Mine is on 93k now so I'm debating whether to get it done. I'm a bit dubious as I had the gearbox serviced in my last car (Mercedes C220) but I'm sure they did something wrong as it developed an awful judder not long after.

I think Audi warrant the transmission for 80k miles but say 'sealed for life' which seems contradictory.

I've had both my Jag and Audi done for peace of mind more than anything else and in both cases made for much smoother changes.

Did you use a ZF accredited specialist for the Merc?
