    Default converting a 1.8 petrol to a tdi – 13-09-2007,08:35 PM
    is it feasible to put a 1.9 tdi into a b5 1.8 petrol. girlfriend has a 1.8 petrol b5 her car looks really good but needs a tanker following it so i wondered is a conversion feasible. if so how much is reasonable for a second hand lump ? would brakes need upgtrading ?

    Its easier to sell your car and buy a tdi ! All the fuel system needs replacing, toghether with the engine, loom, gearbox, driveshafts, dash, keys and possible suspension....Will cost a fortune in labour.

    its not worth the about of hassle you will get from it..

    Get it sold and buy a TDI..
