I really hope someone can help me im at my wits end with this car.

I own a Golf mk4 S reg 1.6SE and I have just put it through an horrendus mot - needed 2 x rear axle bushes, track rod steering arm, bottom ball joint front (so i had both right and left full wishbones done) and a few other things.

Anyway - i had most of the work done last weekend by myself and a friend and everythings been fine - i had the trackrod arm done today though by vw (i supplied the part) and it passed the MOT - But i have had it back and it has started clicking once frm the wheel that has had the trackrod arm under braking at very slow speed (like rolling to a halt) and occasionally when pulling off itl click once. It has never done this before and doesnt do it on cornering (if it did i would have thought CV joint but im not so sure - same kind of click though but just one click)

Could it be gear box? Do you think it could be a faulty steering arm?

Any ideas or suggestions at all would be fantastic. - im so close to throwing the towel in with it i cant tell you

Thanks

Sarah
