After buying my CC 170 GT new in March 2011 ,waited 9 months for delivery (my baby) I finally found something else to pamper. I swopped it for a six month old ex demo new style E Class Coupe. I thought I'd never part with my CC , has been faultless, very comfortable, averaged about 48mpg over 28,000 miles and three years. I usually keep my cars for 2-3 years and know well in advance what my next car will be. The problem with the CC was that it was also a damned fine looking car and there was nothing out there that I really wanted to swap it for, BMW 3 , Audi A4 and Merc C class are all very nondescript and don't really do anything for me. Looked at the A5 coupe but specced up they're a bit pricey and a bit claustrophobic in the rear. Anyway a few weeks ago called in the local Mercedes garage and there it was, love at first sight, there it stood in the sunlight , silver, pano roof and 19" alloys . Went for a test drive and did the deal. Not quite sure the 19"s were a good idea but they look great.

i have to admit, im also in the same boat and im struggling to find a match for the passat cc, i absolutely adore this car both inside and out and no matter what i look at, its either got dull looking inside or a dull looking outside

let me know hhow you get on with the merc, im sure i heard rumours last year that they were voted the worst for customer care?!?

    anyway get some pictures up

Had the car about 4 weeks now, getting used to the 19" alloys and the auto box , very pleased with the car really quiet and really well finished inside. Downside to the CC - mpg probably down to the 36 mark however carefully I drive it and the gear selector is where the indicator stalk was on the CC , indicate left and the car goes into neutral, OOPS.

Swopped my MKII TT for the CC when my first grandchild was due so that I could seat 4 plus the babyseat, but grandson No2 turned up quickly after No1 so I'd need a people carrier to carry 6. The two door coupe is fine for me as it can easily seat 4 ( headroom in back is a bit tight ) and I can fit 2 child seats in there . Will miss the CC as it was so versatile, get the child seats in and out easily, load anything up to 3m long through the boot, airport taxi a few times before grandson No 2 turned up - all the luggage, pushchair etc straight in the boot.
