Location of dump valve on a6?

Hello everyone! Ive just bought my firts a6- 2000 1.8t. Its a great car to drive, definately the best ive had.
I have just bought myself a replacement diverter valve because i have read (from this forum) that the standard ones are very poor and need swapping for something a bit stronger.
I know where the valve is located in an a4 but the engine is mounted the opposite way in my car and cant seem to find it.
Anyone know where it is?

Engine code required. Look in the spare wheel well on the Label.

after much searching on the internet i have found it. It is placed low down under the drivers side headlight (easier to see from under the car).
Cant wait to get the valve on, think my old one is damaged because of the unusual noises it makes.
