    I am shortly going to purchase a genuine VCDS unit but I am aware of the potential slip ups that could happen with it.

    Is there a way to record all the settings in a car when you first connect to it, so after you've messed with things or made a boo boo, you can then just re load them.

    I've a quick look around the forums etc but can't seem to find anything referencing to this,

    Many thanks in advance

    Will

    VCDS records all changes automatically.

    C -> Rosstech -> Debug -> CodingLog / AdaptionLog

    Sort of makes sense Chris,

    In your example, its saving the overall binary total for the 8P0 .. etc module your working on so if I made a boo boo, I'd just reset it to 00010B, being the first recorded value in this example ?

    I guess once I've got my hands on it, it will make a lot more sense.

    Thats it, basically once you start changing bits and pieces it'll list every module you've worked on and give you the before and after coding so easy to revert to should something go wrong.
