Exhaust rattle at low revs

Hi guys

anyone experienced a rattle at low revs in first or second gear when pulling away seemingly coming from the exhaust area? It's an A5 2.0tdi quattro (not that should make a difference) and I am thinking heat shield? Can't see anything untoward and shaking the exhaust when cold doesn't make a sound! Maybe knackered cat? Baffled!
