Just bought a 3.0tdi A6 few questions.

Hi,
sold my range rover on Saturday and picked this up on Sunday. It really is in good condition and loads of history which is good.

the only downsides are that it doesn't have Bose and it doesn't have the proper screen (the 7" one)
is that something that I can put in if need be?
Just think it looks better.

anyway, here it is...

Is it worth mapping these engines? Do they come riddled with problems with 114k?

Welcome.

You can fit MMI High and BOSE but it's more hassle than its worth imo for example see here for the laborious MMI retrofit - VW AUDI Forum - VWAF

BOSE is again complicated and expensive.

Not sure what the advice is remapping high milers, have a look on the forum

I wouldn't worry about not having Bose. I have 2 A6, one with Bose and one without, in my opinion the basic (non Bose) set up is better.

i didn't know the names of the 2 screens, so I have a 'basic' system?

sorry should have explained it better, I'm not bothered about Bose. Just would've been nice to have it.

You have Basic+ going by the 8 control buttons.

Hi I've just had mine remapped and it's touching 200,000 miles it's now goes like a rocket and have really noticed the fuelling is a lot better on a run at 60/65 mph was getting 45+ the company I used for the map is very reliable and the chap knows his stuff

I was referring to the audio system rather than the MMI.

I used veil tuning - 07956135770 in Northampton speak to Chris he does all the local Audi and BMW dealerships price I think will be £250 ish I ve had a few done so get a deal best to speak to him and he can quote u direct
