    Hi all I have a high 2g system does anyone know if u can upgrade to 3 g just by changing the control unit ?
    2006 A6 3.0 TDi Avant Quattro Tiptronic Le Mans
    fully mapped

    Bi-Xenons, Advanced Park Assist with rear view camera, MMI 2G High Nav, Dab & 6 CD Changer, rear load blind, Bluetooth.

    Noooooo. Everything 2G must go. radio, antenna amps, MMI screen, Controller.......

    It's not as easy as that. Basically you're ripping everything out MMI related apart from your cd changer. You also need a new aircon unit and instrument cluster.

    Beat to the post but yeah not cheap. Better buying a facelift car!

    Nah stick wiv what I got then just was offered a cheap 3G unit I like the car just needs the powerfold mirrors lol is there a how to any where Chris ? Not been able to find one yet

    Before buying anythig check your door modules are compatible. A scan of vcds to get the PN is your first step.

    They end with an e I believe but if there powerfold compatible will it show in the coding ?

    Should do. You'll need new mirror bases, new mirror adjustment knob and surrounding trim and of course coding.

    I got a quote for the bases £200 each from Audi wasn't bothered bout the switch just wanted to get them to open and close from the key when u lock and open

    That's not possibe on the C6 without complicated wiring modifications.

    £400 is a bit much for me considering you can fold them in manually within 30seconds and for free

    Been quoted around 750 for richter sport to supply and fit a full conversion I want it done just liked the idea of doing myself
