Anyone got their car warranty with Warranty Direct?

I know tbat my Dad has had the AA warranty for a few years now & they've paid out a few times wben something's gone wrong - every time actually. I've also heard of people getting payment from Warranty Direct, but only once or twice. I've heard quite a few horror stories about WarrantyWise however & never heard of anyone being paid out by them.

It's a minefield out there in the aftermarket warranty field. If I was to choose one it would be the AA, but the only sure method of not being screwed is to do what the other guys have said & just put money aside for any eventuality. The AA will only pay out up to £500, so if it's a costly job, you're going to have to find extra savings anyway, so you may as well just put money away starting now.

You pay more for the Audi warranty but you hear good things about it. On the RS246 forum, it's tge only one the guys recommend.

I have to agree on the Audi waranty....... I had an extras year added to mine for various issues and they stumped up no problem.
A ok in my book.

As for aftermarket warranty companies?
Pays your money and take your chances, although........

I have an aftermarket warratny with my new to me Jag XJ through "Auto Trust"

I've heard some grumblings through the rear diff, initially thought it was a wheel bearing, but not unfortunately.....

Anyhow, Auto Trust sent out an engineer to look at even though I've only owned it for around 2 months, agreed it was the diff, got prices ( parts alone are £3k + vat + labour ) and have agreed for the work to be done, covered under warranty, going in next week.

Online reviews, and also had a friend who put a claim through. And they said that component was classed as wear and tear etc. I had a experience with a warranty company, myself they just was not helpful at all. They was saying to me pay a garage to get the fault rectified and then we will look into paying out. Rather than tell me to take it to a garage that they pay to carry out warranty work etc.
