I would look for a ARL pd 150 block if you thinking of any power upgrades, it's the strongest block you can get from the 1.9Tdi engines:stronger rods, lower compression pistons, better oil cooling jets and a forged crankshaft. Use your injectors and ancillaries and everything will bolt on. You might have a few issues with the clutch, for some reason the clutch and flywheel are particular to the PD115, nothing fits from the later models-something to do with the gearbox being different !

i'm looking to replace engine block. not planing power upgrades
a friend said i should try 1Z block or AFN , but AJM cylinder block is bit wider then 1Z . (engine 1.9)
so best match is same engine block with same code ? (AJM/ATJ ) 1.9 (car is passat 2000)
Any earlier model blocks wount do ? ex: AFN ?
