Not convinced about the "available exclusively with S-Tronic" statement as Drivethedeal are showing the SE in both manual and auto configurations, although S-Line and Black Edition appear to be S-Tronic only

The Ultra has now appeared in the price lists on the Audi website. It is S-Tronic only and has replaced the 2.0 multitronic which is no longer listed. Manuals retain the 177 engine.

Wonder how many people will try to order a manual Ultra via Drivethedeal? Suspect this will initially be a decision driven by availability of the engine and the desire to dump the multitronic box and a manual version will become available later, especially if one of the key driving force behind this is that the 177 engine does not meet EU6 regulations.

Just picked up my Ultra. Having stepped straight out of my 177 SLine into it there is a world of difference. The car is transformed! The improvement in refinement is astonishing. The new engine is like silk and although still very tight it feels much quicker off the line and in the mid-range. Only driven a very short distance home so cant comment on fuel consumption yet. I have also had a glitch with the MMI screen not auto retracting when turning off - but only once.
