Anyone recommend the Samsung Galaxy S4 or S5

I am just getting my mobile replaced and am keen to get a phone with rSAP features. Has anyome got the Galaxy S4 or S5 and can they tell me whether it works well with the Audi A6/A7. I have one of the first models. Thanks

If you can get Audi to update your MMI to 770 you can use a non-rSAP phone simultaneously with a sim in the dash for data. I got mine updated last week and I couldn't be happier!

I have the S5 and it works very well with my A6. I did have a Note 2, and I had issues with voicemail notification on the phone not working correctly. The wife has a note 2 and a new A4 and she also has the same problems.

Just remember to setup the car wifi and enable it on your S5. That way your can still get email to the phone whilst driving.

S5 has also a car mode, automatically activated when connected with BT. Simple screen and voice control, hence did not get it fully working with my MY12. Would be able to just say "Hello Galaxy" and "text Honey will be late" followed by "send" to send sms.

I have an s4 and it works fine, all the data connectIon and Google maps works very well, the one small issue i have is that for some reason it will not let me send txt messages using the templates on the car phone, i suspect this is something to do with my service provider. Apart from that it all works really well.

Wife has an S5 and loves it. Plays her Napster music from the phone on the stereo, voicemail calls spot on.

S4 works great with RSAP.

I have unlimited data and would ideally like to use both the voice and data from the same SIM via an rSAP enabled phone, although if my wife drives it she can use the dashboard SIM for occasional Audi Connect stuff.

Is this the same way you guys see it being used as I know of someone else who creates a hotspot from his phone then connects the car to that. It sounds similar but presumably requires a more active setup each time.

I want a splashproof phone so may get an S5 or other splashproof Samsung, otherwise I'll replace my son's Xperia Z with anything trendy that is not an iPhone and use the Xperia Z.

Is my understanding of the rSAP thing correct, and are Samsung continuing with it e.g. in the Alpha?
