Well every time I park my passat b5 tdi on a slope she really struggles to start, there is plenty of battery power as she turns over well. It normally takes about 5 turns to get her going. I was parked facing up hill overnight once and she wouldnt start and a meassage of STOP came up on the dash. Finally started after about 30 seconds of turning key........

    Amy ideas?

I don't think that is the problem as there is half a tank in it today.

You have an air leak into a fuel line and the fuel is draining back to the tank. Very close inspection of all pipes and joints is required. It can also be the seal for the filter. Regards Peter
