Always in two minds as teh car already has plenty of power for everyday driving... but then I've always been interested in seeing what mpg improvement I would get as well as obvious performance gains. Tried having it remapped at home a couple of years ago but the guy couldn't get the ECU to accept the mapping and he said it would have to be rechipped as although the ECU was a recognised number it just wouldn't take. Anyone else had this problem with software remapping on this model ? I live near Basingstoke and didn't want to take the car to Birmingham to have it rechipped. I guess any recommendations for someone having another go would be appreciated please....

You could look at bluefin or Shark performance.
They do plugin modules that upload a map through the ODB port, these maps can also be removed if the has to go to a dealer.

    bloody smart phones....

I had my 5.5 avf remapped no problem. Try another source.
