    Hi folks,

My engine management light recently came on. There is no difference in engine performance so i am led to believe this could be simply a Lambda Sensor failure

I intend to replace the front sensor, but wondered where was the best place to buy a sensor
I have had a look at the one fitted has 5 wires

Would members suggest doing anything else either prior, during or after sensor replacement

I do not have access to VAGCOM or anything to interregate the codes

    Thanks in advance

    Pete

Without a scan you have no idea what the fault is.
How do you know changing the lambda will fix it.

I'm only guessing given that the car is still running fine and not gone into limp home mode
I have had the MAF connector off and it ran like a bag of nails so have discounted the MAF

    Don't guess, scan.
By disconnecting the MAF you now definitely have a fault code...

That could be an option, what cable would be required?

Also meant to ask if vcds-lite is something that runs from a laptop and is it able to reset any codes?
