About 4 - 5 weeks ago my abs pump went, last week the ESP and ABS light came on. Phoned the garage (I don't trust them) and they informed me if it was a ABS sensor they won't repair it as they did the ABS pump. Surprise surprise it was a rear ABS sensor or wheel sensor was at fault.
I thinking this was detected at the sane time as the pump, I have been told because the pump had to be vag coded then the original fault code has been deleted. Is this true or is there a way to see previous faults or are they deleted for ever.

If the fault is fixed then it won't come back.
