Hi im really struggling to find out what bits I need to install the system... my 2007 a3 sportsback has a standard chorus digital double stereo... do I need any extra things other than the new stereo/satnav?
Like a cage or trimmings? Facia? I can find plenty of things on the synthony but not on my chorus... I hope you can understand my question.

If you already have the double din stereo you won't need a cage or anything if you're upgrading to the RNSE apart from a GPS antenna.

Your existing stereo will be a quadlock connector.

Changing a headunit on an Audi is an involved process because the headunit is designed to integrate with the car. I've never done it, but I've spoken to radio fitters and if you change the headunit you have to have an adapter for the CAN bus, an adapter for the aerial, an adapter for the multi function steering wheel (if you have one) and the usual facia adapter. I may have one too many adapters there but you get the idea - all this costs about £100.
