    Hi All.
Got the car back from the mechanic yesterday after getting the drivers seat bracket welded, and today she is giving me problems.
When the car is started, from cold or warm, the rev needle is doing some serious bouncing, anything between 700rpm to 1100rpm.
She doesn't cut out or anything, but it is bloody annoying.
I am thinking along the lines of throttle body or ignition coil loom ?
Can someone point me in the right direction please.
    Thanks.

    Belfastmark.

Just to udpdate, took her to the workshop to have a wee look.
No fault codes showing with a sealey diagnostic machine, ( Don't have VAGCOM )
Engine cover off, doesn't seem to be any split hoses or loose connections, as far as I am concerned, everything looks fine.
Just to add, when the seat bracket was being replaced, the battery was dis-connected for a period of time, could this be relevant ?

    Thanks for the reply Doctle.
I don't know of anyone who has the software to align the throttle body. It would have to be a VW job. Was wondering if after a while, could the car recognize and re learn the values of the throttle body ? Could it be taken out, cleaned and put back in carefully with out software ?

Plenty of guys with VCDS near Belfast Mark including A6_Chris. Any of them will align your throttle if that's the problem. Throttle bodies are a bit like people they never learn by themselves, look here VWAF User Location Map - VCDS - Google Maps
