My car is due a service in the next few weeks and I am looking to have the fuel filter replaced as part of that service. My car has 84k on the clock and has a fully stamped book which I like to keep up to date. I have had the card just over 3 years and in that time never had the fuel filter replaced. Where is the Fuel Filter located in my engine. Is this a diy job? The reason I ask is I have read a lot of thread's all saying various thisngs. The new filter needs filled with fuel and purged etc.

Is there a how to on here for my engine. If it needs things like VCDS to purge then the dealership will just get the job.

What kind of price should I expect from the dealer.

Any info would be great.

Thanks.
