fault code p2563 on mk6 1.6 tdi bluemotion golf .

fault code p2563 turbocharger boost control position sensor, implausable signal . bought car 2 weeks ago private sale . light came on in dash (glowlamp flashing , eml came on ) loss of power . took car to mechanic working at it three days came back with this info. said no broken wires or bad connections . 21000 miles on car .car registered on october 2012. any help would be appreciated .

Surely its still under VW warranty?

car had bodywork damage to it ,bolt on repair (catagory d ) repaired it myself come with no service history .

Bodywork damage shouldn't invalidate the warranty? Was it a UK car?

it is a uk car 62 plate .in the process of importing it to southern ireland . please bear with me not very pc literate.

If its a 62 plate then it may not be due its first service.

Get the car down to your local VW dealer as the car is still under Europe-wide warranty.

did not get paperwork yet will that matter as i am not yet registered as new owner .

No, just take the car to them and explain that the glowplug light was flashing and the EML came on.

It all goes by the VIN and not the reg.

be aware though that if the fault turns out to be attributed to the accident you'll end up with a bill
