Towbar electrics on A6 avant sline

Sorry tried to add details from the app. I have just bought the car new and fitted the towbar without a problem. I bought the electrics from pf Jones and the dedicated audi plug in kit. The only problem is there is no plug on the car. The brochure said it had towbar preparation which I took to be the electrics ready to plug in. Has anyone else come across this and what did you do.?

I called earlier and you were able to advise. It looks like although Audi say it has Tow bar preparation either mine has missed it or they don't mean electrics. I have got the car at the Garage on Wednesday for the software update so will see what they say. I aren't particularly happy with the situation so we will see what they can sort out.

Hi John, i've just double checked in the Westfalia catalogue and fitting instructions (OE supplier to Audi) and there is only the one kit for the A6 2011- so there isn't a standard and trailer prep variant, sounds like Audi have mislead you (not the first time) on what's involved with installing the wiring kit. If it's now installed and you're having the software download done, all will be fine now. Cheers Adam.
