Help please major electical problems on 2001 1.8t Sharan

Hi everyone
I hope someone can help with this. I got in the car to drive a friend home the other evening when I noticed there were no lights working on the front this being main and dip and fogs the side and main flash work ok. then I noticed there were no wipers front or back and after a bit of investigation found no heated windows front or back, no heated seats, no heater fans although the heater control panel tries to power the fans up but they just flash at the lowest settings. I've checked the fuses and they are all fine also checked them for 12v supply but the fuses supplying these circuit's are dead which seems strange. The Car starts and runs fine so really don't know where to look next.

Any help in the right direction would be most appreciated

Unlikely to be the cause,but I would first check earthing point on body from battery. ( Do not try to start with this earth disconnected)

It may seem more like ign switch problem or relay. Also check if any fuses exist in engine bay or if any cables are broken

Hi thanks for the fast reply I've checked earths in the engine bay and all earths on door pillar behind dashboard I also checked the fuses up by the battery with a multimter and all feeds were fine. I think ignition switch is the next route to follow. I will keep you posted on the results

Hi i have just tested the ignition switch and every thing seems to be working there but there is a heavy black and yellow wire this is also on the light switch can anyone help me as to what voltage I should find at this wire please
