    Hi Folks,
I am new to the site though I am registered at other VW forums and find them all to be informative, helpful and entertaining.
    My question is this:
The abs dash light came on after i replaced the suspension in my 02 TDI.
Vagcom scan indicated a rt front abs sensor electrical fault. I want to electrically test the sensor and wiring to actually determine what has failed before replacing any parts.
I got an ohms reading of 1034 from the sensor. Does anyone know the correct spec for this component? Also where on the engine side of the wiring should I plug in to test wiring continuity?
    Thanks
    Andrew

Probably the easiest way to sort this if you have vagcom...

Is to go into the measuring blocks whilst in the 'abs' and observe the rotational speed of the effected wheel, spin it by hand when it is up on the jack. I think you may be able to pull up some signal info as well.

You could then jiggle / wiggle / fettle / adust / clean until you get it sorted.

As for the resistance of the sensor itself, I don't know but you will probably have to use an old fashioned analoque meter with a needle to observe any changes whilst you are spinning the wheel.
