I've got an odd (and somewhat annoying) issue with my motor (had this since I bought it in July).

If the revs drop any lower than idle (900 give or take) - even by a fraction, the car feels like it's almost stopping, then restarting. In some instances recently it'll cut out completely.

Now I've driven many a car (inc. diesels), and I know what it's like when you 'kangaroo' them - it's certainly not the same feeling. It's much sharper and much more vicious.

I appreciate that if I rev slightly more when pulling away it'll be fine, just wondered if there is something else I need to review...

    Thanks

Had a similar feeling with mine after clutch and flywheel and at the time I knew the lower rear engine mount was gone but had to wait for parts so drove it a while and it felt as you describe. I would suggest you inspect this (http://www.034motorsport.com/images/11_Mk5_DB.jpg) and there is a good bit of info about uprated parts here (VWVortex.com - *** NEW : MKV Density Line Engine Mount & Dogbone mount - 169US SHIPPED). I went with OE.

On second thought I also had the cam belt and water pump done at the same time so may be link to that more than the mount. Ignore my above advise and start with a code scan with VCDS.
