    Hi

Currently seem to get a weird high pitch squeal at low revs, soon as I speed up the noise goes and everything is ok

Any ideas? its a 56 plate roughly 60k miles on the clock

A bit more info from you would help, What engine and Transmission? Where abouts is the noise coming from? Aux Drive belts are a possibility.

It's a 2.0 TDI, Manual, its abit hard to tell where the noise is coming from as theres only ever me in the car usually, but I would guess at more front drivers side if anywhere, doesn't always happen either, drove to work fine this morning without hearing it

I'd put money on Alternator drive Pulley.

Thanks, am I best checking it into a garage and having them give it a once over? what kind of cost is that aswell if it needs replacing?

The clutch/pulley can be replaced separately from the alternator, so shouldn't be too expensive.
